Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated was founded on Tuesday, December 4, 1906™ on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York by seven college men and early leaders of the fraternity succeeded in laying a firm foundation for ΑΦΑ‘s principles of scholarship, fellowship, good character, and the uplifting of humanity.

The founders also known to its members as the Jewels are: Henry Arthur Callis, Charles Henry Chapman, Eugene Kinckle Jones, George Biddle Kelly, Nathanial Allison Murray, Robert Harold Ogle and Vertner Woodson Tandy.

Since its founding, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated supplied voice and vision to the struggle of African Americans and people of color around the world.

My aspiration as an active and financial Brother within ΑΦΑ has my connection expanded amongst three alumni chapters with productive, inspirational, and active men within the communities of doing great work to battle social injustices and promote social awareness.
